Your privacy

Rogue Bee Communications takes your privacy and your data very seriously.

This is a plain English guide to how Rogue Bee Communications manages your information.

Rogue Bee Communications is owned exclusively by Ms Vicky Westmore, so references to the company or the individual are the same.

1) Can I unsubscribe from receiving communications from Rogue Bee?

Yes. All marketing emails from Rogue Bee are sent through MailerLite and there is a quick and simple unsubscribe link in every single email.

You may also receive personal emails to you as a current or previous client.

If for any reason you would prefer not to be contacted at all, just let me know at vicky.westmore@roguebee.co.uk

2) Can I ask you to delete all my personal data?

Yes. It is your right to be forgotten under the General Data Protection Regulation May 2018. Simply get in touch at vicky.westmore@roguebee.co.uk and all details will be erased.

3) Data collected and how it is stored

The newsletter
The newsletter sign-up form on the website has been kept to the minimum information fields: first name and email address.

You are informed that you can unsubscribe at any time.

Rogue Bee Communications will never sell or share your data with anyone.

The information is stored within MailerLite. MailerLite is a fully GDPR-compliant email marketing platform. You can read their privacy policy here: https://www.mailerlite.com/gdpr-compliance

Clients
If you have contacted me about a project, through email, phone or social media then I will log your name, email address, company and brief details of the project in a document on my password-secured computer.

I will ask if you would like to receive the newsletter, and if so will add you to the newsletter list in MailerLite. You can change your mind at any time, by emailing me or unsubscribing using the link in every email.

For project emails, Rogue Bee uses the professional paid business version of Gmail. View their privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

If we are engaged in work together, then I will ask for your postal address for invoices. Invoices and accounting spreadsheets are kept on my password-secured computer and only shared directly with my accountant, who is bound by confidentiality and data protection laws too.

Data supplied by clients for projects (also in T&Cs)
The Client remains responsible for all customer and employee data. Any data given to Rogue Bee Communications to use for marketing purposes must meet all legal and ethical guidelines, including holding the permission of customers to be contacted.

The Client remains responsible for keeping their data up-to-date and legal. Any information relating to this, including any unsubscribes, that Rogue Bee Communications learns about, will be passed directly to the Client.

Rogue Bee Communications will never share data supplied by a client or data it has access to through working with the Client. All clients must make sure they are GDPR compliant.

Rogue Bee Communications will delete data supplied by the Client for a project from its computers and servers as soon as the project is complete and the invoice has been paid.

4) Website and cookies
The Rogue Bee Communications website uses Google Analytics and Squarespace analytics to see how the website is performing in terms of the number of visitors to the site, the most popular blog posts and pages, and to identify any problems like slow loading pages.

To do this ‘cookies’ are used. Cookies don’t store personally identifiable information and they help improve your experience of the site.

Cookies collect information as you browse, such as browser type and version, desktop or mobile device, average time spent on the site, and pages viewed. None of this information is linked to you as a person. Google Analytics will simply report statistics such as 60% desktop views, 40% mobile views, and the top-performing pages per week.

This information is held within Google Analytics and Squarespace, both well-known companies with their own privacy policies. Google Analytics: https://policies.google.com/privacy Squarespace: https://www.squarespace.com/privacy

You can delete and disable cookies in your browser settings.

5) Will my data be shared with anyone else?
Rogue Bee Communications will never share or sell your data to anyone.

As explained above, email systems such as MailerLite hold some of your data and they have their own strict privacy and security policies.
